    About this scholarship

    The priority for the Middle East Scholars Program is to assist war-affected students from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan by providing an opportunity to start or continue their BA or MA education at LCC International University. An intensive English program (if needed) and supplemental support systems are a part of the scholarship package.

    Required status documents
    Refugee certificate, Asylum seeker certificate, Complementary or temporary /protection status certificate, We do not require such status document as such - we would need recommendation letter from an agency/organization that knows and can recommend the person. But when there is a status document, that allows us to coordinate work with relevant organizations.

    Types of visa granted on arrival
    All new students come with a national visa D which is a special student visa which is valid for a year. Within the course of the first half year, students apply and receive TRP (temporary residence permit) which is valid for a year or two and gets renewed
    Are there options for me to stay after study has ended?
    Work permit/temporary residency; asylum application Students could extend their temporary residence permit for a year after graduation. That gives them time to look for a job, eventually seek permanent residency. If needed, asylum seeking could be an option but our recommendation is to exhaust other option
