Humanitarian Scholarship

Each year the Australian National University may offer a scholarship known as the ANU Humanitarian Scholarship ("the award"). The objective of the award is to provide financial support to provide access to higher education for students from a refugee background. The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who is an International student and holds a Temporary Protection Visa, or a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa, or is an Asylum Seeker on Bridging Visa Type A or E; and has been accepted into, and is enrolling in an ANU Undergraduate degree program.
For students awarded the scholarship in 2019 or later, the scholarship provides a stipend as outlined below and paid in equal instalments at the beginning of each semester.
- Year 1: $21,132
- Year 2: $21,132
- Year 3: $13,680
- Year 4: $13,680
In addition to a stipend, the ANU will award a 100% tuition fee scholarships for students commencing their first undergraduate program.
