    About this scholarship

    Japan-Ukraine University Pathways is a program for admitting students impacted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine to universities in Japan.

    A cohort of 14 universities in Japan will jointly recruit a total of several dozen students in June 2022 to begin their studies in fall 2022.

    Eligibility:

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a university in Ukraine, graduated from a high school in Ukraine in 2021 or 2022 OR completed a bachelor's degree in a university in Ukraine in the past few years
    • Ukrainian nationals or foreign nationals who were residing in Ukraine and are unable to return to their home country
    • Single
    • Proficiency in English or Japanese
    • 26 years old or younger

    Short-term visa (90 days) which will be changed to designated activities (up to 1 year), and later to student visa if the student is admitted to the degree-seeking program.
